Read more josei romance manga. Like 60% of them are based on real relationships sprouting from one night stands with someone you just met.

I also wonder if the MC's mom going to come back and play a big plot point in the future. Her bringing up that off wasn't a one off.

Even the biggest hack fraud in the world wouldn't write the mom like this and then never bring her up again.

Nah, let's be real. It's not something so grandiose or deep like that. MC did not bang because the author needs to keep the girl a virgin to put the reader on edge all the time. "Will she be defloured by someone other than the protagonist? Keep reading to find out".
