She seems more logical than that.

I think either the standard Nana seem to be using for herself is lining up a lot with what the other princess has (see how the two princesses talk about Nana in ch 1)
Or her constant self-depreciating will have effect on her magic (back during their test the princess started having a surge after some negative thoughts) so she is hindering herself so then when more things fail it result in a self-harming loop.

Some lecture about to come up. Nana gets closer to Alice as a result. Princess gets misunderstanding that Nana is into Alice. Ensue awkward stuff until a yurification kiss is needed for the final resolution of this water crisis.

That is my prediction.

But it can be happen. The common story about knight and princess is they're lover and got married in the future.

In this manga, saint is the third wheel/unwanted person. that's why the knight hate them, getting in the way their relationship. Maybe, but its still a fun story if really happen.

i honestly dont know how Dame Alice is going to choose to criticize Nana, there are alot of ways to approach the fact that shes someone subject to habitual depression and extreme anxiety issues. or shes the jealous would be GF.
