Or make an op rival that could actually make both of them die killing each other.Contrary to some other commenters here, I think this would make for a good epilogue chapter.
The MC has already trained and mastered swordsmanship, magic, taming and a few extra skills.
He's basically a master of all known skills, so there is not much more margin for progress.
There are two (not mutually exclusive) things left for him to do:
1. conclude with him training the next generation, as is done in this epilogue(?). A time skip is pretty much justified in this case.
2. start off a whole new branch of skills on his own, making him not just a master copycat, but an actual innovator.
Possibly 3. ascend to godhood or something, but that doesn't feel right for the series.
Only problem that worries me a bit: the manga is still marked as ongoing, so it might go into absurd territory.
I think the kids have some time magic going on. He was away a couple days, but they were already rather old kids, kinda able to speak even. And just a couple days after they were walkign and talking and much taller, throwing around spells and swords. Next day they knew how to fly.He was gone for that long?
And suddenly timeskip?
I mean, sure, cool and all, but my head hurts a bit now.
there was definitely a wedding, think it was before the whole arc when the little sister when missing.…wat?
Did I miss where they got married and officially became a couple? Where did that happen?
I mean, when youre that stupidly broken, theres so so much further you can go. the entire last arc has just been him steamrolling every possible challenge the empire could throw at him. Theres not much growth left, for the MC atleast. switching to his kids is a decent idea in concept, it was just done way too quicklyWtf? So the author decided, yes, the imouto has some conscience left afterall (or she decided grooming her nephew is easier).
Afterwards, just time skip to about a decade in the future regardless.
The storytelling is getting really haphazard. I mean the story pace of our MC making and raising his kids is just as fast as his skill learning speed.
His relationship with his wife (and also with most other people) is also largely untouched.
Our MC met with so many people in his journey and yet there’s…. nothing the author can use to make an interesting plot instead of just timeskipping….
This really makes it hard to care much about the characters in the series.
They got married in chp 35 or so…wat?
