The chapter is good but this is a rare moment where the anime adaptation exceeds the manga adaptation, and I am more of a manga-person than anime-person.

The Manga have a chance to exceed the anime on the post battle scenes, where the anime have no choice but to rush things quite a bit, I'm hoping they will properly explain many things there.

I myself look at it Sylhpie>Eris>Roxie. Sylphie is his childhood love. Eris is a part of who he became and had to leave behind and Roxie is akin to a student falling in love with their teacher. it shouldn't happen.

She didn't intend to, for all intention, that meeting is her first meeting with "Rudeus" and she can do nothing if the circumstances ended up becoming like what she had dreamt of when she was a child. That was a "love at first sight" kind of thing. Meeting Rudy when he is 18 is just such a whiplash she can't separate the emotion when she already have the thoughts in her heart.

Also, I hope the Manga does it better here, but she also doesn't know he is married until much later.

In a way it's Rudeus' fault that he never mentioned he is married with a wife that's expecting a child for the whole time until after the fight. In a way, he enjoyed Roxy's affection.
And, Elinalize, Sylphy's own grand,-grandmother is the one that ended up telling Roxy first, even as a family she decided to let her friend have her small romance.

It might be too early to tell, but it seems like they're going to include more of what happens in the light novel, which really deeply reframes everything that happens.

You do know that there is no way Rudy & Sylphie would live happily forever, especially in Sylphie's case, even if there was no Harem stuff going on.

I mean Sylphie is an Elf, meaning she would easily out-live Rudy by centuries atleast. Elinalise still looks so young and she is clearly atleast 100+ years old by now.
