Cannot wait to find out Akemi's plan in all of this. Truly cannot parse what she thinks this will solve, given she can't help stepping out on Gotou, going back literal decades.

Moe is gonna start spiraling--especially once the paternity test results come out. Sure, as she said--such things can be faked, or at least doctored--and Akemi's got more than one contact at a hospital that she could probably convince (or strongarm) into doing just that for her. Still, she folded fast on contacting her half-brother[subject to review], though. Someone on the previous chapter called it--she's branching out already, seeking some measure of worth in herself. Yes, she's also tilting over words from Ken, and imagined feelings on the part of Gotou. But she's had a string of revelations in very short succession, and ....probably shouldn't be considered the most "stable" person to begin with, so reacting like this is maybe par for the course. And it makes for way better drama, from a storytelling stance, so.

That said....severely disappointed in Gotou for not just taking Moe and walking out the door. And the fact he apparently goes on to have sex with Akemi then and there. I know he's a piss-poor example of anything approaching someone with a spine, but it really seemed like he was maybe going to turn the corner on where he stood on Akemi, after the multiple abortions bombshell was dropped on him.

Clearly, any semblance of resolve on his part was illusory.

And with Moe now seeking comfort in someone else, I imagine she'll be pulling away--and woe to the rest of them if she hears Gotou and Akemi getting it on. Akemi seems to be quite loud during sex, so I can't imagine it'll be subtle, what's going on in that bedroom.

I look forward to seeing what Moe does next, and how Gotou reacts to his family fracturing along a brand-new fault line that he previously probably figured (or hoped) would never come to be: his precious, "pure" daughter Moe.

Ken does not know about all that Akemi is up to. Just that she burned him, left for periods of time, is generally unstable, and that Moe loves Gotou, and tried to kill him(Ken) when Ken told her off.

Moe also doesn't know the full extent of what's going on. Gotous's endeavored to keep her as "pure" and untainted by the family's drama as possible. She generally knows Akemi's unfaithful and hates her because Moe views Akemi as a rival for Gotou's love, but that's all.

Gotou's the only one who knows the most, and the readers know a bit more than him especially where Moe's concerned).

That said, Gotou absolutely caved super easily and I am a bit surprised by that, even knowing what he's like.
It does make Moe's shaken faith in him that much more justified, though, which is good for the sake of drama and tension.

i came back to check, gotou can be seen outside the door while the wife is moaning like crazy and the doctor is watching her having sex in ch 19 page 5, you have a panel of gotou outside the door and one of the doc watching her having sex and the moaning appears on both panels side by side, to confirm it that it was not a mistake i went back a little further in ch 12-13 we only see gotou after all of this happened and she is about to leave were she stops for a moment, at first it looks like gotou just got there but with the context of ch19 page 5 you can see that gotou got there while the wife was getting it on that's why he said "even though i managed to find it".
ken knows, as in ch4 while in the mother secret apartment he finds booze and a bunch of condoms in a drawer, one is open, later in ch10 page 3 he finds his mom passed out drunk in that apartment, hell he knew she had a secret apartment, what reason she would have to have a secret apartment if not for something shady.
moe knows cuz the new bro told her that her mother sleept around, moe even questions if she is really gotou biological daughter, that means she believes that her mother did cheat, at minimun she knows her mother is shady as fuck and could have indeed cheated.
edit: also moe was the one that contacted the doctor to show up in their house in early chapters, she knew who the guy was and knew that if gotou where to see him it would get a reaction out of him.
