I too am genuinely shocked she wanted his attention. I thought she was into that doctor. Maybe it's more of a "no one leaves me, I leave  them!" Situation? It also sounds like (from the previous convo between Dad and Moe) that she purposely got pregnant the first time too.

I think you might be right.

I've mentioned something like this before, but it seems like all the dudes she bangs knows that she's only into their dicks and nothing more, so they react appropriately and stay the hell away from her when it's not banging time. Meanwhile Goto was always all "I can fix her" mode and seemed to be the type that always fell for her schemes while occasionally half-assing the appearance of having a spine. Just look at the recent arc where she goads him into having sex with her, and she knows he was feeling very awkward, but he still went all in anyways. They even got back to being lovey-dovey in chapter 25, and all this right after a massive drama. In other words she found him to be a more interesting toy than the others.

I got to wonder how much of his proposal to her was him feeling responsible for Ken, and how much was it her manipulating him into it.

Because she is not attention starved and doesn't want to leave him at all. She deeply resents her husband despite loving him dearly.

Her recurring mistake is escaping from consequences of her actions to the bitter end. She percieves her early marriage and motherhood as mistakes and resents her husband because of it. Having a poor excuse of an adult husband probably didn't help at all.

She is from a highly privileged background so she is confident both in personality and backing but her less privileged friends were allowed to enjoy their 20s bachelor lifes while she was a wife and soon a mother. This leads to a mental breakdown then to a drug dependence which causes the burn accident which then causes a major conflict with her husband (which he fumbled in one of the worst way possible) and she uses cheating as revenge against him because he is fuming with resentment at her. When someone you resent, resent and and her way of taking control of their relationship and undermining her husband's authority over her.

That's why she arranges so he finds about it. She is fucking a independently successful and smart person ( a specialist doctor ) in the house they got because her father supported their family. She is purposefully poking at his weak points and he is not able to retaliate so far.

You can see this in the brothers hospital room scene by how she attacks him after he accused her of something she did not do and see his inability to fault her later when he confesses he is aware his mistakes in marrying and getting her pregnant early.

The abortions are also probably caused by her habit of escaping from her consequences over taking responsibility. She is basically doing the thing she wished she had done when she first got pregnant over and over again.

I dunno if he'll give up entirely, but I could see him pulling back and being more focused on escaping into the arms of the PI chick. Sort of a "harbor in the storm" type deal of simply clinging to any form of security.

She, however, seems convinced of Moe being a threat (and she is correct), and given she's connected to Ken, I don't think Ken's actually getting away from all of this quite yet.

The abortions are also probably caused by her habit of escaping from her consequences over taking responsibility. She is basically doing the thing she wished she had done when she first got pregnant over and over again.

I can see your pov but if her primary focus is actually her husband, then why pressure the doctor to be a voyeur? (Chapter 13) Even when Moe had captured him, he didn't doubt it was the Mom doing weird stuff and none of that has anything to do with her husband. If we learned the doctor and husband had the same name or were connected in some way that would be one thing but I don't think there is.

I also don't agree with the motivations about the abortions because those hurt her husband the most and she kept it secret. I don't think she's clever enough to have purposely carried Moe to term just to say, "I aborted all your babies and here is a random one!" It's too long of a con at this point.

I think she's very afraid of her husband leaving her. Which is why she throws money (and now a baby) at their relationship. Even separated for months, they're still married and if they have a baby, he won't leave her. That's why I wonder if she got pregnant on purpose as a teenager. Maybe he thought they'd break up when she went to college or she was afraid of even going to college and this was an easy way not to have to go. Even if her grades sucked, we know she'd get into her own family's university.

But even in chapter 13 where she starts her pregnancy plan, she refuses to reconcile with him (perhaps because her husband suggested it and she didn't yet) so I still think attention seeking is more likely
