@Kalamel Koto's silence is because she's traumatized by her mother to the equivalent of brainwashing. It's beyond harsh to call a victim of abuse's fear a betrayal, she's spent several years in the same home with her mother, she's only been rebellious for at most a few months. People don't just get over mental trauma that easy, your instincts fight you even if you're trying your best to fight back. I've personally had tremors (rapid shaking in my hands) and hyperventilation when trying to speak up to my own parents back in my mid-20's because "fear" and "obey" are just so deeply ingrained.

I'm sorry but it seems many readers on here don't grasp that Koto is a child.

All of this would have never happened had Kousuke acted like an adult and put this situation in check.

This is 100% his fault. There is no "betrayal" on Koto's part. She's a kid. What did he expect would happen if he got caught fiddling around with a high school girl? His daughter's friend at that?

Kousuke is a piece of shit.

Kousuke is at fault, sure.
But saying it's 100% his fault is stupid. Sure Koto is a child but not holding her accountable and saying she's not at fault is a different thing.

Y’all act like Kousuke had no choice but to bend to her will and that there were no other option but to comply with her wishes. She’s fifteen, not some evil manipulative seductress.
Like bro just. Walk away. Call CPS or something.

It’s Kousuke’s fault, yes.

But I can’t help but sympathize with him and would like to give him a tap on the shoulder.

Interesting chapter, finally after a long silent for koto (understandable by her age and the treatment she received by her mother causing her to be a little afraid of her and at the same time guilty) we can see a light in the end for Kousuke maybe she tries to explain the situation but that does not mean that Kousuke will get away of this because after all she is minor.

@Tamerlane

Also if you catch it, this chapter confirms SHE kissed HIM, not the other way around, as implied by him reluctantly saying he consented to it, being he was the passive agent.

Not saying you're wrong because i thought the same thing but why did she grind her teeth and ask him to stop. Bit odd with this confirmation.

She's 17 that's why MC has been so repetitive about making her wait one more year.

@Darudius
1. It was a smile.
2. She was aware they were in public. It was a 'oh shit' moment.

Also it seems https://comic-days.com/episode/13933686331644204632
is out
Hope someone tells what happened here.

@Kuroageha As far as I remember it's 3 years he mentioned that he needs to wait. She is in high school first year. If I'm wrong I've been remembering wrong for a while lol

As for the kiss and the reason it looks like it's Kousuke who's initiating it while it's probably her, I think the leash pull is the answer.

For the next chapter, I haven't translated the pages yet, I only glanced at them, but it seems to be the aftermath of the events between Koto and her mother, going back home, and back home.

Those are some crazy bad vibes coming off of Koto...

Also, I can't imagine how Kousuke is supposed to take care of his daughter if he ends up getting arrested...

The text is more likely coming from him, but arguably it may not even be referring to the kiss, but the conversation, where he's asking her to "stop" more in the sense that when a loved one's mind is in a bad place, you might ask them to stop talking after an interjection like that. That, or he lies here to protect Koto, which seems consistent with his character, especially as earlier we see it was Kyousuke who was trying to say something and making the grunts

Given all the speech bubbles here lead to him and she appears to be rather firm and emotionless compared to him in this scene, I think it's fair to say he is the one speaking here.
(Note, "the moon is beautiful" is a double entendre in the Japanese language because it sounds and looks like "I love you," which is a subtle way of confessing)

@starlightcitypro Important distinction here, legally. Koto is not a "child," she's a minor because she is below the age of 18, which is the age of consent in the Tokyo prefecture, (She seems to fall into the 16-17 range which would be around the age of consent in the West given a first year of High School would be around the age of a Sophomore in America) Even then it is only legally in regards to consent to sex, which they have not done and Kyosuke actively has dissuaded her from in the past. Paired with the fact that the law in Tokyo makes exception if there is demonstrable love, and he's in the clear.

The most indecent thing they have done with both of their consents is her kissing him, which is not illegal. The police are just here to establish what their relationship is.

Koto is just navigating the world and trying to make sense of what's around her. Her asking about whether things are normal or not is a huge flag regarding her own state of mind, she just doesn't know. What she thinks is correct, what her mother tells her is correct, what society says it's correct and what Kousuke told her is correct are all mushed together and don't make sense at all.

Kousuke in this last chapters looks like a lost child and it contrasts sharply with the facade he shows in front of Koto and everyone else. This man just says stuff, does the opposite and when it's time to reap what he sowed he doesn't know what to do. I really hope this is the point in time where he tries to do something about his situation, he's just insecure about everything.

And all this without taking into account their relationship with each other lol.
As always, interesting!! Thanks for the chapter!!
