Randomly came across this blast from the past and binged the whole thing.

I remember really wanting this to become anime, even spent time thinking about who might be good for the voices. Such a shame it was dropped.

You're not alone. There is a part of me that wishes that I could message the author and ask him to continue it at whatever pace he wants.
At lest I wish he could answer questions about where he wanted the story to go, maybe a basic outline of what he had planned, and the result of the actual ending he had planned.

For anyone who stumbles across this series, I just want to say that it's a great read. The only disappointing part is that it got canceled, but the author at least tried his very best to end it in a satisfying way.

I'm still a bit surprised this one got axed. It's predictable in many of the ways the genre always is, but had some kind of momentum going and charm of its own.
