I keep trying to think about how the author could possibly put in an original twist on this well-worn trope. Instead of his sister, what if she's ... his father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate?

Or maybe this becomes a bisexual love triangle, where Senpai becomes sexually attracted to both Kouhai and Kouhai's imouto and through a bizarre set of circumstances ends up in a drunken threesome with both? That hasn't happened that often, right?

Maybe she's a hallucination that exists only in Senpai's mind - created by her subconscious self to push her to finally confess and get this romcom train going already?

Oh well... Let's wait for that update I suppose.
