She's got to let Ai go. Can't let herself be dragged through this mess too. Ai is fixated at this point and committed to maintaining this unhealthy tug and pill. It's not at all respectful and I can't imagine being a GF and having to witness this. I'm about done with Ai.

What do you mean you don't want to break up? That's absurdly selfish. So your GF who you claim to love is supposed to watch you unilaterally quit your job and run after your ex, while she just sits by and waits? She's not supposed to treat that as the end of the relationship? In what universe? Thoughtless. At least end the relationship and stop pretending to love her. Let her move on and maybe if things change in the future you can reconcile. She's picked up her ex's bad habits. It's rare for a character to genuinely annoy me.

Beyond doomed yuri, this is self-destruct yuri. It's like watching Slim Pickens riding the bomb in Dr. Strangelove, but it's less funny and has one exposed boob.

Is this going to turn into a tug-of-war where nobody has any self-respect? At this point, they've already shattered my expectations—in a bad way. It would be better if Kon just got a real girlfriend, because what she has now can't really be called a relationship.

Hope she sees what manipulative bs she is pulling and comes back from chasing after her ex, just to find Kon having found a girlfriend that actually cares about her 🥲

There's no salvaging that mess
I said this elsewhere, but if Ai gets whatever she would consider closure and comes back after some time has passed and Kon has lived alone on her own terms for a while, I could see them working fine. I'll be an idiot and trust Ai that she no longer loves her ex romantically but genuinely feels she's something like family.

My only major issue is with how selfish and tunnel-visioned she's been with Kon. Whether she likes it or not, by running to save her ex, she's choosing someone else over Kon's pain. There's no dancing around that as much as she tries forcing nuance where there is none. It's frustrating but realistic that she fails to fully accept this choice she's making, simply because she doesn't believe she is romantic with her ex anymore.

If I didn't expect this, it would hurt more. At this point it's ... kind of like a painting maybe? The mood is set and we're looking close at the specific strokes of how it all falls apart. Like I don't expect a big perspective change like a happy ending. And two pivotal characters haven't even had a discussion yet. Being in the same city they should soon...

I'm kinda happy for this series despite the tragedy and probably increasingly bad decisions of everyone involved; it's still a digestible level of toxicity, for me.

"May our days filled with laughter together last forever"

This part got a good chuckle out of me, cause... When?? What days filled with laughter??

Anyway, as always, this is a great mess. Thank you for the translation.
