My data usage shot up through the roof with mangadex!?

So since mangarock is dead, I, like other refugees, started using mangadex. I use mangadex with the tachiyomi fork known as neko as an alternative. So far, except sometimes experiencing very slow loading, it is mostly fine. That is until i checked how much neko app data usage. It reach 25 gb in a month. Wtf is going on here? In my time using manga rock, the data usage is always under 5 gb. What is the cause? Is it the neko app or mangadex somehow?

MR proabably compressed the images. Here, we don't compress images, you are seeing the images in glorious HQ that the scanlation groups upload in.

That said, we have very recently implemented a data saver option, so if you want to reduce data, try using that (activate it in your settings)

Ah i see. I will try that data saver option for a month and see if there is a change. I will probably post an update of it in this thread
