God, Xiaoyangs face when Xiaoen calls them out for being seemingly indecisive to everyone is horrible, that's an exact type of gut punch comment that keeps you up for days, especially when it's coming from one of their biggest supports in their life.

I'm glad Xingyuang was/is planning to help look after Xiaoyang though, I had a feeling this'd be what happened afterward

Not a huge fan of 'we have drama but suddenly have to unite' type plots and it esp feels out of place here, but I trust the author to do something good with it.

from personal experience "doesn't even know if he's a boy or a girl" is always about shoving someone back into the closet. going "I figured it out, I'm a trans girl actually 🙂" doesn't satisfy people who say that to you. Xiaoen is reproducing her biomom's transphobia exactly in a move to hurt Xiaoyang as much as possible.

Xiaoen surely has a huge amount of passive resentment toward Xiaoyang that she may not even realise because they were the child her parents chose to keep and not give away, even though of course it's nothing of Xiaoyang's fault that that happened and their parents suck, it's definitely boiling over here in the worst way possible

Don't believe Xaioen harbors any real hatred for Xiaoyang because of their gender expression, but I can see where that particular line is coming from, I think. She was abandoned because her birth parents wanted a son, and if it turns out they didn't get one then throwing her away was even more pointless and cruel. Everyone else here is just kinda stuck in the way of a couple decades of resentment towards her birth parents but I do find it interesting that she can't bring herself to blame them directly yet.
