Well, ever since the author introduced this plot device where Haru can't form memories of things that lack impact, I've thought it was kind of dumb and been hoping that the corresponding Chekhov's gun gets fired so that the story can ideally move past it... though I'm not sure if that's realistic to hope for. Recent chapters have obviously implied that his issues are more likely to be an upcoming problem in their relationship than her issues, and he promised Rinko that he would "sort it all out" at some point, so hopefully that point is soon, and hopefully also not equivalent to the manga ending.
The less time the author ends up wasting on Haru's psychology at the expense of all other character and plot development, and the sooner we move back to Kisaki being an OP yandere, the better. Hopefully the author's editor is reminding him around now that people read stories like this one because they want yandere awesomeness, not for constant foreboding foreshadowing and memory hijinks.
The conversation between Kisaki and the other girl was at least refreshing and amusing. It made me think, yep, this is Kisaki.
