TBH, I really didn't get a comedy feel as the story started, it was more of a semi serious gangster story with a wilfully inadapted MC, like the Yakuza games if Kiryu decided to be a pacifist.

Also, this seems like a Series that should be binged when a decent amount of chapters come out. I feel like it's not something that should be read on a weekly basis. I think I'll hold off on reading future chapter until we got at least 20+ more chapter added in. that way I can go full binge mode

Incidentally... nodoby commented on the fact that the guy who got thrown off the building was an asshole to begin with. Not a friend of the MC at all. In fact he got close to the MC only so that he could destroy his clan. Talk about being an asshole even at a very young age

And I'm more than fine with the slow romance. As said, it fits the story.
