That philosophy makes a terrible and ineffectual police officer. Almost childish even, it fits a black-and-white perspective and eventually you'll be treating people so inhumanely that it blinds your judgement. You'll get a cop who over-polices, uses excessive force, locking up the innocent before proven guilty and etc. Being a police officer needs a modest mix of soft and hard policing because essentially they are a law enforcing counselors in a way. Criminals and civilians are never so simple that you can pour your impunitive attitude to your job and not expect to make mistakes.

That plover, unfortunately, only goes to Japan to breed. It's only a resident in Southeast Asia. Migratory birds, I imagine, breed in early spring to have time to raise their chicks and migrate to their winter grounds during fall. This is midsummer, so… maybe they are sighted in that area?

Suspects are denied access to a lawyer while being questioned in order to squeeze a confession out of them. Courts even allow the practice.

Inmates become ill like other people, but because they are incarcerated they have limited options for treatment, and health conditions often go unattended.
