Definitely in character . . . for both of them, frankly - Lin Wenjing has been working up to this, particularly as she got more and more frustrated with her toy not playing along properly, and Lu Meihe has been getting more honest with herself as Wenjing pushed her further and further out of her comfort zone.

I'm very curious to see how things develop . . . particularly whether Lin Wenjing actually learns to respect Meihe as a partner rather than as a toy . . .
