That the thing: we don't know anything about her, so it could be a big bluff playing with that fact.

Also, she already bluffed before, when she said she could "See between lies". No, her boyfriend just told her the story, so she know if the girl is lying or not.
I think you’re looking too much into it. This is just a short wholesome little romance comic. I doubt there’s gonna be strategic moves on her part like that. I’m gonna assume she’s an eldritch monster that can do that kind of stuff.

Also, how do you know her saying she could “see between lies” was a bluff. Nothing indicated that that was a lie. Technically, she might not have even meant that that was a power, just that she could tell if the ex was lying. That’s not a power, that’s something anybody can do.

Damn people, I just had a theory, why so much hostility?

Just thinking "she's bluffing" is not "looking too much into it" ya know? There are hints that she try to appear more mystical and scary that she really is. Having pretty normal parents, acting pretty human and polite most of the time (like the jacket thing that started their relationship), etc, etc.

And my take on the "see between lines" part is litteraly at the start of chapter 21: she says:
-And mind your words, I can see through lies.
Next page? We have a flashback of her boyfriend telling her the (sad) story about him and the girl.

How the heck is that "looking too much into it"?! The narrative literally show us that she knew about the story beforehand...

Lastly, you can't tell me "She's an eldritch monster that can do that kind of stuff", and after that, add "Yeah but actually anybody can see trough lies it's not even a power".
But I agree one the fact that it can be pretty easy to see when someone is lying: by the way they act, if they seems stressed, or, I don't know... If someone explained to you what they lied about, like here!

You can't blame me of thinking she bluffed about seing trough lies, and said right after "But actually it's probably not a power"...
It seems more like you have a problem with the fact that she could be smart enough to play with her mysterious nature (something we already saw her do with the suicide rescue part (acting like a big scary creature and tells to the guy: never come back here (a.k.a don't try that again buddy)), and not with what I was actually saying about the bluff...

Anyway, sorry for the bad english, it's not my main language. I hope I will still be understandable and not appear more agressive that I wanted too.

Let's all enjoy this weird but cute couple life!

My comment wasn’t even hostile.

“Next page? We have a flashback of her boyfriend telling her the (sad) story about him and the girl.”
That doesn’t indicate that she’s lying about a power. It just tells us that she already knew the story.

“you can't tell me ‘She's an eldritch monster that can do that kind of stuff’, and after that, add ‘Yeah but actually anybody can see trough lies it's not even a power’”.
Yeah I can actually, because lie detection could 100% be a power, but humans can learn to discern if people are lying as well. It depends on how they determine if the person is lying.

“You can't blame me of thinking she bluffed about seing trough lies, and said right after ‘But actually it's probably not a power’...”.
I didn’t say “but actually it’s not a power”, I said it’s not a power if she does discerns whether someone’s lying the same way humans do. Whether it’s a power or not depends on how the person does it.

“It seems more like you have a problem with the fact that she could be smart enough to play with her mysterious nature”.
That’s a stupid assumption. I just think you’re looking too deeply into tiny details in a short wholesome romance manga.

Sorry if I missinterpreted your answer and that wasn't how you wanted to adress me. Like I said, english is not my first language, I don't always get all the subtilities in it. I don't want to blame you for a misinterpretation on my side. Really, sorry.

About the rest of your answer, I'll be quick: I don't think I'm looking too much into it, my interpretation (that I didn't even said was true btw) doesn't seems that farfetched in my opinion. There is also exemple that I gave that you didn't adress, and I don't want my answer to give you the feeling that I dismiss you.
I gave you my arguments, you gave me yours, we don't agree, let's stop there and enjoy this sweet manga/webcomic.

The reason it's the ring finger is the wives tale that blood from the ring finger runs straight to the heart, which is why a wedding band goes where it does. It should be the LEFT hand though.

I see so many examples of the wrong hand being used in manga and anime, where the most common is the left-handed handshake but also I've seen weddings where the ring is being put on the right hand. It seems that the only material that ALWAYS gets the wedding band on the correct finger are NTR/Cheat Wife doujins.

Man, a very good detail, would've been someone asking her "is the whole thing about the blood real?", and her just answering "of course not, what do you think I am, a monster?", cheesy, but effective.
