She's a spider, so caffeine is roughly equivalent to alcohol. Someone posted a video in the last comment thread showing the effects of caffeine on an actual spider.

I'd like to be an ass and ruin the joke. Caffeine is an insecticide by evolutionary design and spiders get all fucked up by it, if dosed low enough to not kill them. But alcohol is is a poison that fits that bill for humans, so that's how the joke was born. There isn't really any relation between those beyond a poisonous thing impairing behavior, as far as I know.

...But it's still funny that she has the full blörö -experience from just the beans.
