Given his rate of recovery, I don't think he's traditionally human. Regardless, it's a pretty dick move to pull out the "so, what are your plans when I'm gone" convo out of your ass, man.

I think it's the opposite of a dick move, if the idea is to help her work through it so that there's plans in place and that she's able to accept it before it happens, getting them both used to the idea now so they spend their time together with that in mind, to ease the burden of his passing as much as possible.

That said, I also think that something is going to happen with the shrine and he's going to be made into a yokai (if he isn't already one without realizing) so they can stay happily together until the end of both their lives.

Have you guys ever had the chance to meet a really old person? I am not talking about regular old, I am talking 100+ old, these kind of people with cheat genetics pretty much outlived everyone they ever meet, and they keep on living, happy and looking towards the future, which reminds me I should be eating more seafood and fruits... but meh, even with that I don't think I could make to 100, hell hitting 70 would be good enough for me certainly by that point Oda must have finished OP
