i am just as lost but without going back to read, i think that the moth is the mantis lady? that now turned into a moth to fit as a tie in character in the spin off? not sure how a short time travel changed her whole species.

Maybe as a moth, it frees her of the blood curse which lead to her killing her family, and frees her kids as well? And if it's retroactive, her family is not dead either.

This sounds very likely. Unwriting that moment may have had the same effect on the orginal timeline as dropping a plane engine into a lake and it resettled into a newer one with differences.

As someone who’s been reading this for a while: this story leap is about as big as any. But long story short:

Spider-Mom wiped sun lady from the timeline… with the earth still spinning afterwards despite the fact that she’s an omnipotent being. Along with this many changes to the timeline have implied to have happen, what happened to Kiri here being one of them.

The spider clan, that became a singular person.. had the ability to completely rewrite all of existence via strings and STILL came to extinction? And a moon rabbit is the 'most powerful one'?

So, it turns out I was, in part, wrong about what happened.

As it became clear as I thought about it more, Taya killed Ameratsu, took her loved ones, and rewinded time.

This was not retroactive, meaning Ameratsu still existed before the whole fight, and died as a result of it.

The power of belief is something that’s implied to exist in this universe. If you believe in something, it can be yours, as one might say. Humans are afraid of yokai, giving them power. They were afraid of us in the manga’s lore back then, which is why they were hunted.

As for Jade, it is probably a case of ranks.
