I actually stumbled into it back in 2017–2018. I was in the library and came across this book Hana & Hina After School, and it just clicked. That was my first real dive into yuri!

Soon after I kept telling my friends about it, and they all thought I was crazy. But after that day, I just kept looking for more, and now I have a whole shelf full of yuri that I’ve collected over the years.

Hana & Hina After School is great! My first was Girl Friends, also by the same author. Is there any yuri work that you really don't like and wouldn't recommend?

Besides yuri, slice of life really clicked for me, especially the quieter, character-focused stuff. I’m also into coming-of-age and more psychological stories anything that leans into emotions and personal growth over pure action.
