I knew Cry seem to have a knack of encouraging and empowering people around him, but I am curious now how he did so for his other childhood friends (and also to his sister) which led them to treasure him so much.
I always think that he is just a normal guy with extremely twisted luck, but sometimes I think that the other Griefs might be crazy strong because they are taking the power from him somehow

Two parts to that. For the first, he's broken the luck stat in this world. His shitposting and jokes end up being spot on 100% of the time. He's just winging it on everything, but his winging it is perfectly accurate. His childhood friends are only as powerful as they are now because they followed his terrible ideas.
For the second, he's not actually weak. He can pull out the maximum possible potential from any enchanted item. That's something nobody else in the world can do. Nobody can even close to this. A single weak enchanted item being run at 20% efficiency is enough to make a person into a well known adventurer. He has the largest collection of enchanted items, and custom made items that allow him to utilize at peak efficiency the techniques of his allies who are themselves the strongest on the globe.
The only person who thinks he's weak is himself. The one person who suspected he was weak was made to grovel at his feet.

his luck and his way on giving vague answer (because he thought it a bother to long explanation) is what made his Childhood friend and all founding members of Strange Grief is insanely powerful. so, they thought he's all wise sage with twisted personality and someone to looked up in respect.

simple examples is Luke sword ability from Cry advice using wooden sword (cause he didn't wanna go to high level Treasure vault) and ended up on him becoming strongest swordsman because he never relying on his weapon. then his sister who he often ask to charge his relic because she can use magic, she ended up becoming strongest mage even elves admired.

you can see how until now everytime he told something, it becomes a big deal and crucial point in winning or surviving. that why he often being misunderstood yet it always end in his favors.

Regarding the second part, he's actually weak. It's just that he likes to collect relics, and relics are meant to be rather easy to use; one just needs to know how to use them. Since he has a lot of them, he has relics that have similar effects, which makes it easy for him to use other relics because they may just work the same way as another relic he already has.

The other factor is that, as was mentioned in the early chapters, is that relics are meant to be trump cards and with caution, where you use them for strategic purposes, but Cry uses them for everything and anything, but he always ends up using them at their full output, because he also can't really control them, he just knows how to activate them most of the time.

it was stated that possessing the item wasn't a crime, but using it was. So if anyone bought it he can't do anything. Nor the one that bought it, which sounds like a massive trolling scheme.
