No, he isn't ordinary, he is below ordinary.

He will obtain a mask that can unlock all the potential a human can have, making the user become the best version of themselves, and it doesn't work on MC, because he doesn't have any potential whatsoever.

MC goes to advanced technological flying city, before entering the city, there are a machine that can quantify the total ability + total potential + total willpower of anyone who passed through it. A low level people without any potential is quantified at 10, while the MC is a grand total of 4. As a comparison, the other lv 8 hunter who came to the city have over 10000.

Other than his ability to use all kind of relic, having friends that can become strong with his weird training method and his luck, he is just a weak guy.

well his artifact is charged by his step-sister mana, as for by pass requirement in this auction arc end, MC got the mask he mistaken as other artifact and tried to use it only for the said artifact despaired how weak MC is, he even more weak than children. the artifact is a MASK that can unlock potential of the user to higher stage in exchange of their own sanity and will made them cursed to unable to take it off

I would say Cry isn't ordinary at all, instead it's more like he's maxed out his luck in a weird way. It kind of like King's luckin OPM though.

If you think about the phrase "results are everything", then he's on par with everyone in his party, despite having no real capacity to do anything more than your average joe.

You have to consider this; Cry is basically the leader of his childhood friends to begin with. They all follow his suggestions (before they decided to make him leader) since childhood, and since his suggestions were really out of the box, they got insanely strong while putting their 100% into achieving it. A made up example would be Cry telling Sitry "Wouldn't it be really good if you could turn a potato into a frog? It'd be so convenient for catching mosquitos while we're camping." And then she spends a week to manage to do it somehow. You compound this kind of "training" to a group of talented party members for literal years and they become not only strong, but also incredibly flexible.

Also Tino puts it in the first few chapters; if you follow Cry, you almost always end up stronger after his "trials", which are almost always tailored to "just barely succeed through the skin of your teeth." No one can even think he's a phony imposter because he has an unfortunately long track record of being right (without meaning to, at that). Think of Cry's quests as a hardcore game mode, but you get more XP but all fights are 5x harder, and you have to use all your items to pull through the last boss of the dungeon.

No, it's not. I went into an indepth, exhaustive breakdown of the actual characters used and how they are actually used in Japanese. While it literally is "Malis", and L and R are interchangable so it can come out as "Maris" as well, it is just transliteration shorthand for the English loanword "Malice".

Cry's having some difficulty wrapping his head around the concept that a receptionist is not, in fact, physically inseparable from the counter they work behind. As for Chloe Gark-san's niece's genes not geneing, I find it a bit strange that anyone familiar with the term 'gene' is not also at least intuitively aware that humans are sexually dimorphic. I see nothing unusual about a feminine woman having a brick wall for an uncle.

Remember, despite everyone's bizarre praise of him Cry is not only the weakest but has the smoothest of brains. His unparalleled luck carries him through everything.

he actually help "guide" his childhood friend to make them became stupidly strong too, so to his childhood friend, he is by no mean ordinary.
Just as he told Sitry to became Alchemy just by pick up random book and give it to her, other too became stupidly powerful because of his "advice"

That is the worst option, both Sitri and Liz would INSTANTLY kill Eva (the secretary) and then chain him up in a basement for not choosing them first.

If a yandere likes you, you can only date yanderes that will defend you (and themselves), normal people will get knifed in some dark alley by said yandere.
