So Footsteps is like a clan with multiple partys and Arc Brave and Stagiri are the founding partys. MC is the leader of Stagiri. Hunters are gathering at the bar because Footsteps is gathering new members but rumor got out that Stagiri has the open slot which they didn't. MC caused trouble at the bar and is given a punishment by the guild? to go clear a dungeon.

I blame the translators. And the story is moving at a snail's pace.
