Arios isn't "being adored for killing a bug". She got baited into a trap by the bugs, and had the one that could stab through armor in an instant held up to her chest before he forced it away from her and got run through the heart for it. He's being adored for saving her life from a very sudden and horrific death and risking that fate for himself.
