I don't remember bright of engage being introduced this early in the novel, but the adaptation is probably doing its own thing as they always do

To be fair, it makes more sense for the bright of engage to be introduced this early instead of near the end like the source material, even more considering what happens on later chapters

Kid or not, vampires are vampires, and in the eyes of humans they are all enemies. And not utilizing every tactic at your belt, even if they're dirty tactics, to win isn't a cheap move. Story summary:

★ Ten years later, Towa is now 10 years old. Twenty years have passed since his death and rebirth. Towa and Astre move to Feldam, the capital of the Astram Kingdom. Astre decides to move there so Towa can interact more with humans. For Towa, the capital is full of memories from the time he was in the Hero Party.
Hero Alios and Lilina are now married, and they are the King and Queen of Astram Kingdom. When Towa and Astre pass through the royal castle gate, Towa stops for a moment. He hopes he might meet his old friends again, but with his current position and situation, it is impossible for him to visit people who now hold important positions in the kingdom.
Astre offers to sneak into the castle, confident that she can pass all the guards, including the former Hero. But Towa stops her, because he does not want to become a wanted criminal.

★ That night, Towa dreams about his old adventures with the Hero Party. In the dream, Alios asks if Towa is okay because he seems spaced out, while Lilina, as usual, teases Alios for flirting with women too much. Lilith and Selene are also beside Towa. Those memories make Towa realize it is only a dream. He wishes all his friends can live happily.

★ The next day, Towa goes out to explore the capital alone. By chance, he sees a crowd of people watching two former Hero Party members, Lilith and Selene, who are out shopping. Their beauty has not changed at all because they are not human. Towa tries to get closer, but the crowd is too dense and he cannot move forward.
He also does not know what he should do if he meets Lilith and Selene. They would never believe that Towa has been reborn into this world. After that, Towa keeps walking around the capital and unknowingly enters the noble district. Realizing this, he quickly tries to leave.
Then a horse carriage with a very familiar emblem passes by, the emblem of Baron Mistel’s family. Inside the carriage appears Galio Mistel, the eldest son of Baron Mistel and Towa’s older brother. Galio tells Towa to get out of the noble district at once. When he sees Towa’s face, he remembers his younger brother. Galio sees Towa as an ungrateful younger brother who betrayed the family, since he gave the family nothing even after becoming a member of the Hero Party. He also insults Towa for dying even after defeating the Demon Lord. Because Towa reported how his family treated him, the Mistel family received no compensation from the kingdom.

★ Before going home, Towa sees a flower shop and buys a bouquet for his mother, Astre. He gives her the flowers as a sign of love. Astre is very happy and hugs him right away. When Towa is about to go to the bathroom, Astre follows him in, planning to wash his body. Even though Towa, now 10 years old, starts feeling embarrassed about bathing with his mother, Astre still forces him. Not only does she wash Towa, she also tells Towa to wash her body too.
The next day, Towa walks around the capital alone again. When he decides to look around the adventurers’ area, he accidentally bumps into Lilith. Towa quickly apologizes. Lilith is shocked when she sees his face and just freezes.
When Towa is about to leave after apologizing, Lilith stops him. She asks if he is hurt and invites him to walk around with her. Towa has been taught not to follow strangers, so he hesitates. Lilith looks sad, thinking Towa will refuse. But in the end, Towa accepts her invitation and they walk around the capital together.
Lilith thanks him for accepting and takes his hand. They visit the adventurers’ guild, as Towa asked. There, a problem happens when a drunken adventurer tries to touch Lilith. Lilith uses her succubus ability, Charm, to make him lose consciousness.
Then Lilith asks Towa for his name. When Towa says his name, Lilith is deeply shocked. Besides his face, the name is also similar to the man she loves. Towa gets confused when he sees Lilith talking to something invisible, but he tries not to think too much about it.
After that, Lilith brings him to the Magic Academy, where she works as a special instructor. This year, the children of Alios and Lilina, the prince and princess, will enter that academy. Lilith invites Towa to enroll too, but Towa starts thinking about the cost and whether he needs permission from his mother, Astre. Lilith strongly says she will try hard to convince Towa’s mother, and even openly says she will give Towa more attention than the other students.
When it is time to part, Lilith tries to stop Towa because she does not want to separate from him. Towa calms her down and promises they will meet again.

★ Unexpectedly, that night Lilith, in her succubus form, sneaks into Towa’s house. She cannot stop herself from wanting to see him again. She hugs Towa and carries him to her place. On the bed, Lilith keeps trying to get closer to Towa, but thankfully Selene arrives in time and stops her.

★ Towa thanks Selene for saving him. When Selene sees Towa’s face, she remembers the man she loves. After Lilith regains her senses, Selene asks where the boy came from. But Lilith ignores her and tries to take Towa back to her room.
Selene gets annoyed, hits Lilith on the head, and asks for an explanation. Lilith explains that Towa is the boy she met that morning in the capital. While holding Towa against her chest, Lilith leans toward Selene and talks about how kind the boy is. Towa ends up trapped between Lilith’s chest and Selene’s. Since Towa has already forgiven Lilith, she finally returns him to his room. Luckily, Astre does not find out about this, because if she did, Towa has no idea what would happen to Lilith.

★ A few days pass after that incident, and Towa does not meet Lilith during that time. While looking around shops in the capital, Towa is grabbed by a merchant who tries to force him to buy their goods. Other merchants and passing citizens try to stop it, but those merchants ignore them and keep trying to take money from Towa’s pocket.
The commotion attracts Selene, who happens to be nearby. She sees Towa being grabbed by the merchants and immediately uses gravity magic to slam them into the ground so they cannot move. Selene asks Towa what happened, and Towa explains the whole thing from the beginning.
The merchants try to lie to Selene and accuse Towa of lying instead. Selene then strengthens her gravity magic and calls the capital guards to check the merchants’ trade licenses. After the problem is solved, Selene invites Towa to go out with her.

★ Selene takes Towa to see where she works, the Magic Research Institute. Selene is the Deputy Director of the institute, but her influence and status are much higher than the director’s. Towa is amazed by the building, which looks like a Japanese radio station. The futuristic design excites him.
Inside the institute, they research magical tools that help people live more practical lives. After the battle against the Demon Lord, the world became peaceful. Because this world was protected through the sacrifice of his companion, Towa, Selene wants to keep peace and make the world even more prosperous.
Towa watches Selene excitedly explain all kinds of magical equipment. It reminds him of the time he was still the Miracle Hero Towa, when he saw Selene getting so worked up while talking about magic. So excited, Selene does not notice that Lilith has entered the room and is hugging Towa.

★ Towa and Selene end up fighting over him, until Towa accidentally touches a magical tool called the Memorial Cube. This device shows the user’s memories. The memories that appear shock Selene and Lilith, because they are the same memories from Towa’s past that they know.
There is a memory of Towa Mistel leaving the Baron Mistel family. Then there is the memory of Towa’s first meeting with Alios and Lilina, when they asked him to become the Hero Party’s porter. Towa warned Alios to preserve his reputation, because one day Alios would become a hero admired by many people. Towa also encouraged Lilina not to give up on guiding Alios, so their relationship would become better.
Then comes the first meeting with Selene, who originally joined the Hero Party because she was interested in Towa’s Miracle skill. Over time, their time together made Selene open her heart, because Towa accepted her as she was. Even though Selene is a troublesome and selfish woman, Towa saw the goodness in her. Selene also hoped their relationship would stay the same after they defeated the Demon Lord.
Then comes the first meeting with Lilith, when Towa got caught in a trap and accidentally summoned Cerberos. While fleeing, Towa met Lilith and desperately used his Miracle skill, even while almost out of mana, to defeat Cerberos and protect her. Lilith became interested in Towa because he was the only human unaffected by her Charm. She joined the Hero Party, and while traveling with Towa, she learned how to control her Charm skill so she could live normally and interact with other beings. For Towa, even though he was not affected by Lilith’s Charm, he still could not resist her charm.
The next memory is the moment Towa was reborn and abandoned by his parents, before being picked up by his current mother, Astre.

★ After seeing the memories from the Memorial Cube, Lilith and Selene ask whether Towa is really the same Towa they knew. Towa finally tells them everything, that he has been reborn, and that the reason he did not come to see them earlier was because he feared they would not believe him.
Lilith and Selene are able to tell whether Towa is the real one or not because they are connected by the Bright of Engagement, a contract bond that exists among Vampires, Succubi, and Elves. This bond forms when those races truly love someone and cannot live without the person they love.
As they are overwhelmed with happiness from being reunited, suddenly there is a loud disturbance outside the Magic Research Institute. The building is attacked by many wyverns. Lilith and Selene can handle one wyvern, but the number is too many and they are overwhelmed. Soon after, Towa’s mother, Astre, arrives with her scythe and cuts down every wyvern that tries to hurt Towa.

★ Towa, Lilith, and Selene are at Astre’s house to talk about the Bright of Engagement. Lilith and Selene are told to wait in the living room, while Towa and Astre talk alone in her bedroom. Towa tells her everything, that he is the reincarnation of the Miracle Hero Towa.
Astre had already realized this when Towa was still small, because he behaved unlike a normal child. Astre also reveals her feelings toward Towa, not as a mother, but as a woman, while showing the Bright of Engagement symbol beneath her stomach. That same symbol is also on Lilith and Selene.

In the end, Towa accepts the love of Astrephia, Lilith, and Selene.
