initially i thought this would be a weird / silly magic sword school story and that was thrown out pretty early.
then i thought it would be a serious magic combat story and it kinda was but also wasnt.
now its a revenge / destroy the world story..... lets see how long that lasts.

Seriously. It's still following the LN nearly 1:1, so this jarring shift is as it's meant to be. I was really liking the story until Miss Yamato Nedeshiko casually learned to move FTL, but that wasn't even the jumping the shark moment. Turns out the MC
