I know that people are often too quick to call "axe" on an ending LN/WN ad series, but even by the generous standards of how abruptly a lot of those series end, this really does feel like the publisher just decided to pull the plug immediately instead of waiting for a reasonable ending point.

It was... Fine? Putting aside the cutoff ending, it was pretty by-the-numbers in terms of plot and progression. Not that I necessarily mind, I'm always up for fluffy romance with minimal icky elements. If it had continued on to the other girls, I might have enjoyed it. Not a huge loss in the grand scheme of things, but still disappointing.
Back when it stalled at chapter 8 I had been convinced the MC was actually the chosen fiance and he just hadn't heard it from his family yet because he cut off contact with them.

The ending was way too abrupt and there was no progress with anyone except for this girl. Sure there were some instances in other chapters but with only 10 chapters, there was no story building at all this far in.

This was a forced ending.

Well, if there's one good thing to say about this ending, it's that this time it was only 10 chapters and not, like, 50, as happened with other manga I was reading that got a visit from Axe-kun.

I know man there's been a ton dying around 30-50 recently it's been annoying seeing "end" on so many series I'm reading.
