Thanks for the scan!

As I suspected, she did have heavy ballistics ready to nab him. I also like how she is just really a childhood friend; both for him and her and there are no romantic feelings at the moment and the primary motivation for her is so that she can focus more on her Otaku stuff along with Masaichi.

I don't know why it's such a hard thing for many authors to depict loll

Tho I guess in Japan gender roles are much more rigid loll

I like how she at least pretends to not have romantic feelings for him, and does just see him as a childhood friend. We all know how it'll end, but it's not one of those "secretly my childhood friend has always had a crush on me" type stories.

Well cause getting with him(pretend) would rid her of most of the trouble, she can easily hang out with the girls and guys around her without implying she's interested in any of them.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing, I think it's a wise writing decision to not have her be in love with him already. It's much more interesting to see both of them gradually develop feelings for each other in real-time rather than have either of them be head over heels from the start and only get a few flashbacks now and then to explain why. Sadly, a lot of other works go that route and I always feel like it's less satisfying.

She also gets a legitimate reason to spend a lot of time at his house. Everyone's gonna think they're dating anyway, but at least now she won't have to argue with people about it all the time.
