I felt like there should have been a lot more to Neeko's struggles and how she overcame them, but I'm fine with a sudden hopium ending. Imoko was a shockingly unresolved character, though. Iirc correctly she had a moment in one of earlier chapters where she flat out admitted that her personality and friendships were fake, which I expected would be used to highlight the shared loneliness her and Neeko feel despite leading completely different lives, and how they could learn from each other through the different experiences that they have with it. Disappointing tbh

Tonal shift that happened about 3/4th of the way in really threw me off. Felt like a cop out and not how her character was supposed to be. "safe" ending where you can only be happy if you work, her issues aren't really resolved and even if she got a job she now magically will be alright? I liked the early parts way more.

She's managed to come a long way and its been a fun series following her. I think she would be better just picking up more hours and more responsibilities to try and turn her part time into full time rather then becoming a faceless office drone. She'd surely be happier.

The first half of the manga definitely felt more raw and interesting. Second half had much welcome development...but I feel this ending would've felt a lot better if we actually saw her ace the interview and been treated exponentially better than how she was by that other company.
