They do need to reinstate his rank to save face against the mess that dude did anyway. It works for him as well because his credibility as mentor skyrockets making it easier for him to mentor people he takes under his wing.

The receptionist in a fucked up manner "really thought she was doing MC a favor" story presents through someone she knows that she's easily swiped along by trends, meaning when she got the job, she was immersed in the anti-adventurer garbage" because the administration part of the guild is made of non-adventurers, it has way to many ignorant and looking down on those their suppose to be supporting, that guy who chastised NTR ass for his mindset. Later MC starts working to purge these elements from the guild and increase the amount of those in that branch EXPERIENCING the life themselves if they want to get hired

But as for the Chick, she thought in her own arrogant manner she was "helping" MC thinking if he lost his girl to "a better man" and unable to continue a "bottom tier career" as many like her see being on the administration side as "success" and being on the other end a "failure" he'd be forced to "get a real job and re-think his life choices and stop being a loser!" She gets the 4th degree and a pay-cut and suspension for her actions as pointed to her she had no right to criticize or interfere in others lives like she did no matter how much she thinks she's "doing the right thing" cause imagine have a decent job and some ass decides to get you fired from it cause "you could do better" and don't really care how you "do better or if you'll starve from losing that job!" Suffice to say she becomes an adventurer to make ends meet and is regretful for her bad behavior and apologies to MC later

As for Ex and the Asshole, Ex got a job in a career she wanted "because of MC helping and knowing the owner!" She even says to her that she hired her because of her engagement. The smug idiot thought she earned it 100%so instead of being transfered as she hoped, she gets the same treatment her new man put MC through, Fired and blacklisted! Asshole is transfered to a "dead-end branch" and she follows after marriage becoming a housewife. And the ass basically does to her what she "did to MC" starts resending her for "being useless" as she's not so great at the housewife part and cheats with a coworker before they divorce (her humiliated because she made a terrible choice and it bit her in the ass) to make ends meet after returning home to her parents, she does low tier adventuring that doesn't need a license, but her ignorance of what MC had to go through means she makes FATAL mistakes, namely because of how ineffective the current administration of the guild is do to the Anti-adventurer faction in politics actions. Criminals are all around so she foolishly teams up with a trio that rob those like her once inside and kill them to cover their tracks as "killed by monsters!" Not before they make a rape attempt and the only female is a bitch who LOVES watching those like Ex who remind her of her old mean girl bullies cause she's fashionable and beautiful so loves to watch the despair. But monster attack happens and she gets badly injured, saved by MC who was in the area for different business so it was luck she was saved. He gives her an expensive medicine mostly out of "good deed" then because of her and when she finds out, she truly regrets what she did to him and finally realize all he did for her and of course "how they got together in the first place" as she did like adventurers when they met, but like the receptionist was easily swayed into thinking they were trash potential criminals who should all lose their license and forced to get "real jobs" so she does get a career in adventuring, she and MC have nothing to do with each other as she respects the fact she was the one to cut all contact and trash their relationship like it was a black history, she has no right to be in or interfere in his life so doesn't plague him. She does show up from time to time showing her life and how she became better person from her experiences (while still regretting her past horrid behavior and ignorance, by the way her parents were unaware she cheated and viciously broke up with MC, while they didn't like him because of his career do more to the risk of death, they weren't happy when they found out how she got with the one she married either, so her divorce was seen as Karma by them and later herself) last she encounters her ex is after he viciously attacked that coworker I mentioned, feeling a shame she never saw his true face and wishing she could have slapped her past self thinking he was better then MC, and sad for the woman as she thinks if she had been better, he might not have become the loser bum who later attacked her. Unaware she was the woman he divorced her for or the fact his attack was him getting back at her

Spoiler: Asshole's Fate

Now as for the asshole, well he becomes a drunk hobo who hates the guild and adventurers even more, yeah the coworker he got with is a horrible woman who in boredom and "failed" to inform him her "husband he thought she'd leave him for" was their branch superior. So once again he idiotically went for someone HIGHER then him's woman and ruined himself (though this one baited him into it unlike Ex who was arrogant but did try to make it work with him and learned the hard way that if he had a superiority complex towards her ex that he felt entitled to steal her, then he'd feel the same to "the jobless her" and instead of maybe helping her get better or encourage her as a housewife) as the guy even though he and the coworker are married because his job was gained from her parents so it's a political marriage. Still has to punish him for "harassing his wife!" He is aware she LOVES destroying lives like this by the way! And with that he "becomes bottom tier" as he believed what would have happened to MC when he screwed him like he did. Going from a good career to hell all because instead of being quiet, he felt ENTITLED to abuse power!

As I mentioned in Ex's fate, he does show up as a minor background character (anything a drunk bum hating adventurers is mentioned, that's him, he's still pissed off and blaming MC for his life going to shit and not his poor choices! Even a colleague when he got to the branch WARNED him to keep his head down, so his karma was by his own fault) but last appearance wehn that coworker fell to her own ruin and tried to get her life on track and regrets her bad actions when someone saves her from starving. He sees her and of course is FURIOUS thinking she's getting away with what she did! Basically cementing while she at least learned her lesson and was TRYING to better herself, he just quadruple down on his bad choices and attacked her.

Spoiler: Future events related to the first spoiler

Basically the Anti-adventurer faction are able to win seats and the prime minister position and proceed to do what the voters wanted, which is dismantle the system in place, with the arrogance the rest of the world will follow suit as their the idiot in the room who think their smarter then the rest of the world. But teying to being back "the good ole ways" making me think this is the writer lashing out at current politics in japan where because their politicians reach out to the old generation who still vote cause the younger ones are tok busy being worked to death to go out and vote, so outnumber them as a voter base and so they run on "I will not change anything and keep things how you like it" nothing changes and so japan stagnates, but for the story. Japan goes through a "fuck around and find out" as all adventurers and their families leave Japan for better pastures, as the anti side have purposely paid bad people and adventures to do crimes to JUSTIFY paiting ALL Adventureres as criminals in the making, and so any of their family members could get targed for unfair demotions/firings and bullying out of "association" MC works to assure they have protections and jobs in the meantime.

But well the fuck around and find out is that their infrastructure were build around the monster energy and produces for power. So imagine the electric bill that use to be super cheap now went into "bigger then your rent" cause old power isn't as good to match the new mindset of use up energy lile it'sgoing out of style! Basically it's giving up "Cheap Energy" for Old expensive and thinking everyone will just go back to the mindset of the past after enjoying the new energy for MORE THEN A DECADE! Plus their "pressuring" other countries to "follow their lead" blows up in their face as everyone cuts them off. Japan nearly collapses and well lets say it's the final KO to the Anti-adventurer mindset as those who were such got to see the ones who weren't and "prospering" make them wake up to their igrance. Which was MC abd those on his sides plan. Once they privatized the guild and the opposition got voted out for their failure. They'd fix the country

I believe one of MC's later student's father suffers issues at work because of the knowledge his daughter is a Adventurer so you know the classic "A Criminal Child must have Criminal Parents" classic "that justifies my Pariahing/bullying some one" you get with tight nit cultures like Japan. Where the Outlier is ALWAYS treated like shit for stupid make no sense Reasons

Feels like the writer was LASHING out on how current politics in Japan favor the OLD! Because their the ones who have a HUGE voter base (due to being retired and such compared to younger people) The Politicians there seem to cater to "What they like" which is "not breaking what's not broken" which in hindsight can be BAD since you WANT to assure what isn't broken remains so by IMPROVING as nothing last GOOD forever! This is causing a Stagnation issue and in this story it SHOWED when they took charge as their actions almost COLLAPSE Japan as a "Country" because of the crippling issues they're actions cause, both BEFORE "They found out" and "WHEN they Found out!" Made me giggle when I got to that chapter

I love how MC privatized the Guild and expelled the "non-adventurer elements" as I kind of agree! If I was doing that type of stuff, I prefer the Logistics/Administrative side to KNOW what it's like and be similar then someone who is ignorant and as we see, that ignorance has CONSEQUENCES like at the start of the story in question. Namely All who work as Guild staff have to be at a SPECIFIC Ranking as an Adventurer, which lowers the odds of IGNORANT folk like his Ex's "Ex-Husband" and the Receptionist who have this IDEA that Adventuers are "low lives" from being in positions to MESS with an Adventurer's career cause "They looked down on them and had the ABILITY to ruin their hard work with a press of a button cause like the ASSHOLE Ex, they think NOTHING will come back to BITE THEM IN THE ASS!" And of course the recent shit with that POS Adventurer that messed with them recently, the one who thought his BROTHER would save his ass, only for said brother to ABANDON him AND their family because he almost went after someone WAY above him (he knew MC's identity instantly) and knew it was time to cut ties before his father and brother brought him down with them). Specifically when the local Guildmaster was READY to act like MC was the one in the wrong simply on the POS "word" just cause of "who is dad is!" And the Guild didn't need BROWNNOSERS like that!

It is funny though that you DO see low lifes among Adventurer's, the next student if I remember straight has a scumbag "Ex friend" who has a BULLY of a Boyfriend who is an Adventuerer and ABUSES his powers to intimidate and beat people up (The Type the Anti-Adventurers side would LOVE as "examples that Adventurers need to be CRIMINIZED! I think the series Asterisk War had something like this! One of the Heroine's father was locked up for PROTECTING her when she was young because as a "Special Being" he is stronger then normal folk, and the criminal despite TRYING to kill a LITTLE GIRL was "normal" so OBVIOUS it's the classic "Crime of Self-defense" bullshit)

I laughed when the Writer copied the Writer of "Record of Wortenia War" specifically in the NOVEL of that series, the writer has a LOVE of writing LARGE ASS backstories for "One off characters" though this writer makes an ENTIRE Drama about what happened to that Student's BULLY and her ASS Boyfriend AFTER she stood up to them, that lead to YAKUZA, Drugs and prostitution

Specifically when the local Guildmaster was READY to act like MC was the one in the wrong simply on the POS "word" just cause of "who is dad is!" And the Guild didn't need BROWNNOSERS like that!

It is funny though that you DO see low lifes among Adventurer's, the next student if I remember straight has a scumbag "Ex friend" who has a BULLY of a Boyfriend who is an Adventuerer and ABUSES his powers to intimidate and beat people up (The Type the Anti-Adventurers side would LOVE as "examples that Adventurers need to be CRIMINIZED! I think the series Asterisk War had something like this! One of the Heroine's father was locked up for PROTECTING her when she was young because as a "Special Being" he is stronger then normal folk, and the criminal despite TRYING to kill a LITTLE GIRL was "normal" so OBVIOUS it's the classic "Crime of Self-defense" bullshit)

I laughed when the Writer copied the Writer of "Record of Wortenia War" specifically in the NOVEL of that series, the writer has a LOVE of writing LARGE ASS backstories for "One off characters" though this writer makes an ENTIRE Drama about what happened to that Student's BULLY and her ASS Boyfriend AFTER she stood up to them, that lead to YAKUZA, Drugs and prostitution

The guild system was utterly broken from the start with something like expulsion and blacklisting being possible from anyone with a terminal and without a double check with a superior based on the adventurer ranking.
The propaganda against adventurers makes the idiots at the start look a little victim themselves, very little as in the end they did whatever they wanted cheating and abusing power, can't be denied they got radicalized against adventurers through lies.

That plot point make me think of Isekai Influencer a bit, with the government trying to indoctrinate the students with adventurer trait to obey governemnt orders and throw away their life for superiors without power or skill if asked (the plot hole there is that through level up a adventurer quickly becomes smarter than people that studied all their lives, but the author didn't put a wisdom stat so a lot of them make retard mistakes no matter how much they raise it)
