Ok, i don't know if it redeems the slow descent of the series, but that's a sick reveal 😂 Seems like a way to show the absurdity of revenge.

I didnt expect that and now i feel bad for the guy, kinda remind me of sasaki kojiro from vagabond now too. I would say this is where the MC should step off and reconsider that revenge but we're far beyond that point. Genuinely hope that the author manage to make a remake of this manga, its way too short and would gain to have that revenge goal be more fleshed out, also that would mean more Agata which is always a plus.

Sengoku-era Japan wasn't politically correct. I wouldn't expect any of these three characters to use any respectful terms to describe the main antagonist they're all there to kill.

That's actually an interesting way of looking at it. Maybe isn't as inherently compelling at first, but the idea of someone just... not knowing or learning better due to their own circumstances. It has a more comedic tick to it since it's so unexpected, and the buildup to that realization during a fight may have been easier to take seriously, but still an interesting twist. And a new line of reasoning for interpreting how revenge can be, at the end of the day, somewhat pointless.

People are laughing, but I thought it was an interesting twist.

Historically such people have been used and abused...
