It's called bunting. Cats have scent glands on their faces, which is why they rub their faces on things.
As for biting, those are "love bites". Oddly enough, it's more common for female cats to affectionately bite their owners than male cats.

I guess so my cat also has brain damage since she nearly drowned in a septic tank as a kitten
