I mean ... have you heard of school shooters? Bullying is usually the main reason they commit that crime.

Don't get me wrong, murder is bad, no doubt, but getting antagonized like that not just by his peers, but even the townsfolk, because of him being an orphan? His misery and desperation to prove himself is reasonable for his actions. Still not an excuse to commit crime, though.
