After MC left, the kingdom will slowly fall into disarray due to national security threats. Meanwhile MC gains new powerful and influental friends. The king then order to find the MC and bring him back (possibly even negotiating to get him re-engage with the princess) but alas it's too late, he has too many backings and the strongest harem possible. And somewhere along the line it was revealed the guy that the princess fell in love with is a spy.

So, a pretty cliché setup. I prefer when there's a revenge element, but that doesn't seem to be what's going on here. This seems to be the, "former lover cheats, mc goes on to build harem, former lover regrets because things turn to shit after the mc leaves" plot.

Will the former kingdom face ruin with the departure of the MC?

Will the MC build up a harem and a new town/kingdom?

Will the MC take the lover back? (Because she's gonna try to come back)

I was surprised that there wasn’t anyone saying that the mission must not have been dangerous since everyone came back safely, therefore MC isn’t actually strong and could be safely thrown away.

The princess clearly never liked the MC and he said that they’ve never even held hands so even though they were engaged it’s not like they were in love. She did the MC a favour but screwed over the country.

I also don’t understand why the MC even stayed in the same country. He’d be looking over his shoulder forever. I’d change my name and appearance and make it as hard as possible for people to track me down. He shouldn’t have told his CHF where he was going either unless she was going to join him.

Interesting questions from you guys, a few can be answered very easy even without a spoiler... BAD WRITING. Yup, easy as that!
I was also wondering about some of them, like why did the King allow cheating and why isn't that treason, but there is no real explanation as far as i remember.

As for the Princess, here are some more spoilers i didn't really explain that much in my plot summary... Does she want Warrena back later? Nope! Even as she was dying she was only thinking about herself and cursing Patrick for his betrayal. She never loved Warrena, not even one bit... She was just pretending to be nice and cute in front of him. There were like only 4-5 ch about her before she died, she mention Warrena maybe once, and that was just bad thing she thought about him. She never once even called him by his name.

Yes, she is his childhood friend or more precisely, his late best friends daughter. He was like a big brother to her, thats why she calls him like that.

... are they actually pterodactyl, or is a machine/amateur translation just failing to understand 翼竜? Dinosaurs were written in Japanese and Chinese kanji/hanzi as different "dragons"†, and pterodactyl specifically as "winged dragon"/翼竜.

In a fantasy world, the default meaning of yokuryuu/翼竜 is probably an actual winged dragon, though every auto translator will spit out pterosaur.

† Other examples: tyrannosaurus is written "violent ruler dragon", apatosaurus "thunder dragon"*†, ankylosaurus "armor dragon", stegosaurus "sword dragon", etc. Nowadays, scholarly sources mostly use katakana transliterations, though.

Yeah, they could have at least made Warrena kill Patrick while in God of War mode. Chloe killing him off screen is kinda the main disappointment in all of this.

Talyn's and the Royal family's end was actually alright, IMO. It was satisfying to see her get what she deserved, betrayal.

Yeah, he skillfully infiltrated and seduced a dumbass with enough power to achieve his goal. Oh and the reason he is now "King" is just because the rule of the Kingdom is "if there is no heir, the person with the highest status is the next ruler". Since the whole royal family was killed and he was considered a high noble (and was the princesses fiancé), he fits the role.

i would love it if the guy charm the princess actually just do so to get the MC away so he can sabotage it from inside, would be my prefer karma at least
