Some comments from the TL, @mogu if you want to debate them! Not me.

Page 4, panel 8

This just seems extremely selfish and immature. They're on an extremely tight schedule. This is treated as some huge unfairness to Momiji. But even Aoba passed off some mob designs to Yagami when she was having trouble coming up with the final boss. And that was treated matter-of-factly. There was no unfairness there. In fact, it was treated as an extremely positive thing then. So this really does nothing but make Momiji look bad.

Page 5

Panel 4: Seriously, this is played like some injustice against Momiji, but it only comes off making her look bad. Selfish and immature and unable to swallow her pride.

Panel 7: And then she turns and blames it all on Hajime. Like "I want to finish all the work you've given me on my own! But I can't because you gave me more work! That's your fault!" She seems to only care about herself and is not thinking at all about the game as a whole. Nothing in making a game is something you do "by yourself", anyway. The entire process is inherently collaborative. She's never happy with anything. Nothing is ever good enough for her. God, this chapter ruins her character for me. And then the next arc just completely fucks her character.

I have to agree with mogu. You're working on a team project and there is a deadline, relying on your colleagues is also part of your job even more so if their skill on up for the task.

I don't really disagree with the comments. Everyone seems to be in a poor position for this project. It's part of the reason I wish the arc would end already. Aside from the fact that I find the game idea boring.

Both Hajime and Momiji do not have the necessary maturity or experience for the leadership roles they're in. The fact that this project is running on "it's your idea/design, so you should lead it" is so hilariously bad. In reality, the entire project in this scenario would probably implode.

Once again Aoba x Hifumi is dead and buried, too much blushing in this chapter. Still I wouldn't say Momiji is completely worthless, I rolled her in the gacha and she's kinda okay, almost high tier. In the manga, yeah she is, but outside of it she's useful. She's also wearing a naked apron which is appreciated.

I think the key difference between then and now is how it was done rather than what it is being done.
Momiji has a desperate need to prove herself, the game is all but guaranteed to bomb, and now there's a ton of sudden changes piling up even MORE work. And this is her first work ever and now they're "suggesting" her to share her workload with Aoba. My work is suffering through nothing but circumstances outside my control. I'd be upset too even if I know they were right. And in the end she's blaming herself over first and foremost over not being "good enough".
She's got dealt a really shit hand so far and unlike Aoba she doesn't have a Pro Artist mentoring her nor will she have a Pro Artist shilling for her giving her entry into the industry nor does she have a BY THE CREATORS OF FAIRIES STORIES guaranteeing her game to be a success.

I'm happy Aoba is slowly getting back to being a main focus in the story arc , even if she's still kinda peripheral. I'm also glad she didn't go full koakuma mode with Momo, that stuff should always be reserved to Hifumi only in my book !

She's taking it personally, yes the designs were hers but this whole thing isn't about her, it's about delivering a product in time.
I'm an animator, I had some responsability working on a couple of short movies and when things don't go exactly as you personally want, when you want to personally handle everything but don't have the time for it, you suck it up because you don't matter, what matters is that the movie/game is finished in time.

With the rival company got a good review it would pressure them hard already, and both Hajime and Momiji is still new to their work, which make things even worse.
And ass @Dosky said Momiji need to improve more on working with the team, she may be skill but there is a team for a reason, but as long as she can reflex and improve from that i think it's a good development for her.

This whole project seems to be a cascade of poor decisions. It wouldn't bother me as much if it didn't feel like these emotional moments, like the discussion between Momo and Aoba, are the author saying things like "because she has the resolve to handle it all herself that means Momo is doing the right thing by not handing her work off to Aoba!" and stuff like that. It feels like the author wants to make this all work out because it's good for the characters' emotional development, despite all the signs that it should fail badly.

Momiji is lowkey the most annoying character of the cast It's not about your communication skills here, it's about your ego You're in a TEAM project meaning your collegues are here to help you when it's difficult and you're short on time and you're freaking short on time. Also put a little blame on Hajime (just a little) as she had to make respect her decision and authority. There is no other way here, Hajime shouldn't care about Momiji's pride here. If she said Momiji had to share her work with Aoba then she share her work with Aoba, it's the game in itself that is on the board here. They don't have time to take care of Momiji's selfishness. I said little because it's Hajime first time so she probably don't know how to handle this situation but that lie in the fact that the director let someone with 0 experience at the head of the project. At this point, it's bound to be a failure. Nothing from start to now has gone right.

Edit : Not to mention Hifumi who is still missing and have low presence. Like, Hifumi is the only member of the team with a lot of experience and she is just here watching the all thing crumble. Like the dog in the house in fire

I want to see them happy but i want to see them failed in this project so they will take this chance to learn more about their limits.

May this game fail and they'll go back to making games without giving important jobs to characters that cant do them, at least not yet

Lol, all these negative comments...and I can't disagree with them. New Game has been going downhill ever since we got Momiji, who imo didn't deserve to win the competition (but we all knew she was going to coz PLOT)

Reading this chapter made realize AGAIN how much of an ideal 'no experience, fresh employee' Aoba was. She meshes well with the rest of the team and even others outside it, had average skills but willing to learn and learn pretty fast, really diligent and pretty earnest in her attitude. She has her own idiosyncrasies but she's overall an ideal fresh employee. I wouldn't mind having more of her kind i

Compared to Momiji and Narumi..... I mean, even Nene is at least very earnest, even if her playfulness gets in the way sometimes. Yeah, Tokuno Shotaro really made a good job of making Momiji and Narumi a good contrast to how Aoba and Nene was.

Anyway, I bet if it was Kou whom Hajime said to give her workload off to, Momiji would relent easily. Aoba, while being the senior, is just 1 year seniority difference, and she was a fresh highschool employee compared to Momiji who is an arts college grad. I guess it's a bit harder to swallow if you've a big (unwarranted) pride, although the bigger picture is that the game would be in BIG trouble if she doesn't finish her workload. The severity of the situation is a bigger than the Aoba/Kou one.

Then again, I guess this is another series of chapters where Momiji gets some character evolution, so it's kinda inevitable. Either she grows up, or she fucks things up. Characterization marches on.

Ok... the game is sure to fail. And one more thing, Momiji, you can’t blame director for ‘suggesting’ you to share your work with Aoba who has more experience than you. For the goddess’s sake, Aoba who design PECO and got directly trained by Kou is more valuable than you who has zero EXPERIENCE and SUCCESS in your FUCKING background.

It's sort of interesting to compare/contrast them, at least.

Aoba came into this with just a HS diploma and the passion to have something to do with Fairies Stories, and while she idolized Kou and her art, and set "character designer" as her goal, she didn't come with a lot of preconceived notions and was willing to learn and do whatever was required of her.

Momiji and Narumi came with a degree (in progress) from a junior college and a lot of passion for doing something together, but also a firm idea that what they would be doing is also a job. This comes with some added expectations compared to Aoba with regard to what would be required of them and what they could expect of the environment.

Nene was drifting aimlessly through a 4-year degree when she landed a part-time job debugging solely so she could play with Aoba again. After getting a taste of coding she decided to pick it up as a hobby and put enough effort into it that she was able to land a longer-term contract in a more demanding position. She's got a lot energy but her ego is constantly deflated by everyone around her with more education and experience so she has no reason to get ahead of herself.

Hotaru is working diligently through a 4-year (and beyond?) degree at an art college and wanted to see what Aoba sees so she got an internship with a foreign game company. All she knows or cares about is art and the company is working around that limitation, but is ready to drop her like a hot potato if she doesn't perform.

I agree with Mogu about Momiji being a total jackass, immature and completely irrational but not the point of making her look like a victim, I mean she say so herself, that was a stupid thing to do and that she's lacking a lot as an artist ...and how poor her communication skills are and so why that happened.

The BEST that could've happened there was for Aoba to convince her to let her help, not going with her selfish request, this is a game made by a team and there's a schedule, is not HER decision. But then again I don't want things to go exactly as Hajime wants... So anyway this isn't. Going to end well but it could've been better... Too bad for Momiji, at this point the only thing good about her left would be fanservice.

Well I'm on my phone so I will keep it short.... I'm just glad it's going to be over soon
