I noticed that you wrote elsewhere that you used Google translate and deepl to translate, and paint to typeset. There are better alternatives. Google lens/translate is fairly good at picking up the Japanese text, but panel cleaner that uses manga ocr is more effective. You can translate a whole chapter with text in the correct order in five minutes, and you get a lot better translation if you translate the whole chapter at once in chatgpt or similar. They're far better at translating than Google translate or deepl, though not as great on handwritten text so you might want to double check that with Google.

It's easier to use a program like Photoshop than paint. Especially since it has functions like layers and content aware fill (edit - fill - select content aware). Easiest way to get it is usually at your favorite torrent sie, CC15 or CS6 are more than enough. CC15 has a little better content aware fill.

You can find the scanlation school font pack on the r/scanlation subreddit. I'd recommend getting that. Good fonts to start out with are CC Victory Speech and CC Meanwhile. Don't use manga temple, anime ace, or comic sans.

Otherwise there are guides around that'll help you out, but the most important is experience.

Learn Japanese, Chinese, Korean or whichever language you want to translate from, unless you're mocking the word "translator" further than the average MTL user.
