I'll be honest, I can't think of any memorable sports manga that aren't at least half a decade old now, especially when looking for ones without any romance.

Giant Killing is good (and with very little romance focus from what I remember), yet rarely gets brought up. That being said, it's been running for over fifteen years now, so "new" is definitely pushing it. Has plenty of volumes to keep you busy if you haven't read it already.
