The irony that he gets her killed if his conscience got the better of him. Nezumi and Midori lived through an ugly vicious life of being tools and it's understandable but only nezumi grew out a conscience. It's really kinda got hard to root for both to live with her selfishness

I want to slap both of these girls. Iruka said Nezumi's last job was the boat. Not Midori but thee boat. These girls should work together to take down Iruka and his team. Nezumi has taken down a whole gang before. Why not again!

Exactly. They have to unite against Iruka, but the author wants to force their confrontation at the end, and Iruka will get away with it. (I hope not.) I hate that character; he's just as awful as Butama.

Both of yall are not wrong, but with every mafia gang, it isn't over just because you kill the head, it just means the position will be availible to fight over as well the chance for other rival groups to try and become top dog. And the main way are proving yourself worth would be killing the one who killed the previous head, so it would still continue in some form. They would have a chance of escape if they pull something like what peter did, taking the mc's place, try and fake the deaths, but that is also very hard

Yes but the same time they could have easily escaped after hurting Iruka. It means no one would be in their way anymore. There seems to be no rival gangs or anything in the story.
