I read the novel, and that's not the worst guy in the story. Unbelievable, but there is someone worse. I honestly didn't like that her friend had a happy ending with number 1. Her friend is trash too. It may seem incredible, but number 1 is a good person.

Unfortunately, some people are like that IRL. Try and put down the "easy target" to make yourself look better by comparison. Then trying to convince her of that when she defends him while defending his own stance. Probably thought she was just being polite/respectful until she let the mask slip a bit and made her anger known.

This can only go two way either a big misunderstanding in the family/lie like the sister telling horrible things about mc so he was pretty much disowned by his parents and saved by his uncle ( the less likely ) or the most likely one being the classic tragic death of both his parents and little sister in some kind of accident

I really like the manga adaptation so far. It sticks to the novel in a fast pace yet also feel slower at the same time. Weird but nice Thanks so much for the translation.

This dude really got humbled about thrice by Chinatsu and ultimately by Hajime himself after he incited a showdown between two Satous. He turned a new leaf down the line though and got on a good term with Hajime (but Chinatsu still hold quite a grudge against him lol)

Also, don't worry about the other Satou. Dude is genuinely a really good dude. He has his own headache about his relationship that almost did not work out though.

I can't wait for the episode where Chinatsu draws a certain relationship spider web hahaha.

The Light Novel version is ongoing and at Vol.2 I think?
The Web Novel is about Vol.4 and I think it kinda stops to be continued in LN?
Main story in WN reached a good end point for these two at Vol.2 of WN. The other two focuses on relationship of other cast members.

Perhaps this could change or further developed in the LN version.

He spreads rumors that MC killed his sister. MC's sister was in the accident that killed his parents. The doctor gave MC the option to turn off his sister's life support. The doctor was clear that there was no chance of her surviving, so MC chose to turn it off to end her suffering. MC needed to talk to someone about this sad situation, so he told that piece of trash. The scumbag did this to get the MC's position on the basketball team. NOW LET'S BE HONEST. DID THE AUTHOR REALLY THINK THAT A DOCTOR WOULD LEAVE THIS CHOICE TO A CHILD?
