This kind of reminds me of reading fanfiction, where you can tell when someone doesn't know how to write natural relationship development. It's evident what they're going for, but they're forcing the romantic development.

Also, I hate when mangaka/authors write bullying/drama in such an unrealistic way. Kids are stupid, mean, and often judgmental, but they aren't that stupid. Very few of the children would have believed that rumor, and they would have already heard of the accident.

Real bullying is much more subtle. It isn't something that can be undone by one pretty girl kissing and praising you. Also also, I really wish they'd stop giving every dry loner MC a tragic backstory.

Nah this is the exact same pace the LN is going at. Only minor details were skipped or glossed over but otherwise it's not getting the axe in terms of pacing. Dunno if the Manga will end on Vol2 or continue past it however

Anyways this is the start of the changes in theit relationship, but nothing is official until later. Also Kanesaki doesn't appear anymore so his fate is unknown for the time being.

IMO novel dealt with the hospital and uncle way better than this chapter - it was clear that she's already brain dead, and her heart will stop naturally in few days. "She hated pain" was turned into recollection of the day of the accident, and kinda made it look a bit like MC was mercy killing her.
Don't remember uncle being such a tornado.
Feels like they didn't have enough material for 2 full chapters, and wanted to end at the kiss (understandable), but ended up rushing it too much.

this is not really the recap section but the story of first 2 volumes of LN.
opening scene was them going public to everyone.

Regaining consciousness isn't about to change that. Frankly the alternative is even more terrifying; his sister waking up with days or even hours remaining, all while he knows there's nothing he can do for her while she's in unimaginable, terminal pain...

This is actually worse then anything else. Don't introduce rage inducing psychopaths (which is what he is) to your story in a ridiculous setup if you are not gonna supply catharsis to the reader. (i mean entire school immididately turning on him? No teachers going after the psycho? C'mon now)

Now your story is infinitely worse for just having a character like that existing.

the entire school didn't turn on him per say. the adults actually helped him out while the students were the ones spreading rumors around. no one else knew who the perpetrator that started everything was because Hajime didn't say anything about it. Hajime just gave up on the students after they started talking behind his back. He had people who were nice to him but they were doing so out of pity rather than empathy and didn't stand up for him or push back against the rumors. This part is very important as it's one of the reasons why he fell for Chinatsu as she got angry for him and cried for him when he couldnt do so himself. Yes Hajime has become unable to cry due to this entire incident.
