Yee Yugo was thinking about Makoto/Cure Sword but their personalities (Melt and Sword) aren't really the same. Not many purple Cures have Melt's outgoing and positive personality, and the other Cures that use swords (Beauty and Chocolat) aren't purple. IMO I would have gone with comparing her to Mashiro/Cure Prism (as they look more alike and both have light generating powers) but the season with Prism probably wasn't out as the webnovel was being written so I get it.

Between Melt getting a mahou outfit or a tatsu suit, so long as she gets to punch and kick the baddies then it's all good for me.

MC never thought anything about her outgoing and positive personality. The traits that he compared her to Makoto are: A beautiful girl from a faraway land, fairly clumsy, and able to make swords of light.
