Well, at least it looks like MC's warped common sense is being destroyed relatively early. Unlike that other one where the guy thinks he is still a weakling 100 chapters in because he parents were insanely strong and they said they were normal strong and he can't beat them. Even though he killed ultra giga mega monsters.

Only problem i have with MCs with this mindset is that is they say they want to have a peaceful and slow life but they just go ahead and become a FUCKIN ADVENTURER


If you want to have a slow life just go and become, I don't know, a baker or something. And obviously if you lived 2 lives in that world you should know slaying out dragons and other monsters is NOT NORMAL.

@Yunus159 They have a different world view. In their previous lives they saw adventurers as normal people having fun adventures without the responsibility. It actually makes sense if you think about it. They wouldnt have been thinking about bakers or other things like that, they would be thinking, hmm in one life I was a sage that knew all shit, and in the other I was a hero who saved the world, but then in both of those there were those adventurers just killing shit with no responsibility I wanna do that fun shit.

I'm gonna stick with what I said after chapter 1. His previous two lives were in hell worlds, lol.

That might not be true, though. What if slaying dragons and giant boars actually WAS normal in the two previous worlds? That he can so 'only a green dragon' means he knows of far more powerful dragons that are above greens. He also said 'there are far more valuable creatures in the Demon World', meaning he really WAS in a world (or both) where the monsters were just that much more powerful and everyday.

You could also run into the situation where he only associated with 'monsters' who hunted powerful creatures as their norm, so that's what he based 'average adventurers' on.

I can think of only one, literally just one manga with a "I just want to live a slow life" type character who actually makes even the slightest attempt to live a slow life. And that's "A-Rank Boukensha no Slow Life". Worth a read if you like a protagonist who isn't a complete idiot.

What about the 'slow life' series with Bei? He's intelligent, and incredibly 'my pace'. He's succeeding in having a laid back life (to him) without lettiing the little things get in the way.

@Riger He might have seen monsters thousands of times stronger than those green dragons and this that but man you were a sage and a hero in your past lives, you have to be smart for that, and you have people telling you its not the norm to just go around and kill all those things with one swing of your sword, yet he doesnt understand that which kinda ticks me off. I've never liked this dumb MC without common sense type of things but the art style still keeps me here
