You know I see both sides of things between MC and that adventure girl. First off from her perspective he is basically riding on the coattails of other adventurers to rank up faster because getting promoted to B rank in a month through your own merits would be impossible for anyone else so she is judging him using common sense which basically dictates that even a genius would take atleast a year to reach a higher rank. Therefore to her MC is an untrustworthy individual who not only swindled his way up the ranks but has no regards for his life or those around him (because being an adventurer is a dangerous job and people who recklessly rush forward tend to get themselves and those around them killed) nor does he have respect for those that worked hard to achieve success. However we know MC isn't like that and he wants to proof that he ranked up through his own merit reasons why could be various, but probably something cliche such as because he wants to be friends with her. As for myself if I was in that sort of situation I don't care how people view me I just don't want them to hate me because of a misunderstanding (atleast not an unintentional one) if they hate me I would prefer that they hate me for who I am.
Of course guild clerks have to be some standard of 'beautiful'.
Also ffs. Guy uses one OP fire spell and you think that's all he can do? Sounds like a case of chinese novels, where they judge the MC based on their own limitations.

Him saying that the hellfire magic's main purpose was for weeding really helps my claim that the previous two worlds he lived in were hell difiiculty and would help explain why he had no clue the green dragon was considered 'high level'.

Come on guys. This MC is clearly the Clueless Archetype (both with the ladies and the “common sense” of the world). No matter how hot the guild workers or adventurers are, he’s never gonna hook up with any of them. And even if he starts to be interested in someone, he’ll have some dumb misunderstanding that causes him to move to another town and start over again.

I find the MC somehow stupid and lack of common understanding about the world. I know he's reincarnated person with destructive power and abilities in his previous world but when he's reincarnated again to this current world, does he ever learn or just see about the power limit or the average abilities of the people around him? The more he says that his power is just for 'this' or 'that' or even it's common in his village and blabla are getting annoying. I mean how hard it is for him just to take a look around him and understand how average the people is compared to him?
