i freaken love these characters so crazy, and i like how that sword basically made them equals and basically set the bar for their trust, knowing what they both gone through they mutually agree, and she has to basically stay with him till his revenge is done too, but i cant help but feel this is gonna end up like death note

as for why she put them into the mix, maybe to kill off lose ends or something cant really think of any motives from her story so far

@cloud04 it's like how classroom bully happens. the main bully (slave dealer) and the plain observer (other slave). In this case they are much worse, because in the novel the slave dealer didn't feed her until the very last moment, while other slave curses, shows no help and even glare at her menacingly.
They are gathered together to see how their ally are changing to monster after eating the food (somewhat like reducing their pact mentality). That's why her revenge for them is to be in state of constant hunger (from the illusion), while having their will remain intact. If they submit to their pleasure and eat the food, they will die and turn to monster (something to pity and glare upon).

@cloud04 As what chubyoshi said, the other slaves ridiculed Minaris, shown, albeit short in chapter 4, page 32. The background noises were giggling/ ridiculing laughter, instead of them actually pitying Minaris, they sarcastically pitied her (assuming to avoid letting themselves being targeted by the slave dealer).

I honestly don't know why I enjoy this revenge story. It's not particularly gorey like Pumpkin Night, but it's not so edgy like Dungeon Seeker either. It draws a neat line of sanity that it plays jump rope with and I like it. But it's so vague that I can't describe it more than that.

@Naminator She isn't exactly 'into him' per se, not currently at least. She wants mouth-to-mouth for another reason, which isn't thoroughly explained in this chapter. If you read the novel you'll find out that it's because of magic intoxication( that's why the MC called her an 'overly excited drunkard'). She used too much magic too quickly to make that poisonous food and it resulted in her becoming affected with magic intoxication.

After that convoluted set up, she's reduced to a romantic interest. She couldn't retain her own personal motivations, they had to perfectly align through a magic contract. I know it's trash and I shouldn't expect anything, but you need to actively dumb it down to get to this point.
