I watched the live action, I think I have to agree. I don't remember it all that much (because I started watching later episodes) but I do remember Matsukoma being fond of little girls in that.

But i wouldn't be surprised if there were some similar series like that (tho i can imagine some 'semi autobiographical' manga actually did make the artist genderbend themselves (like how Nozaki-kun draws himself as a cute girl that basically looks like his sister XD)


And it's not just JP ppl/influencers, i've seen western YTers putting their wishlist publicly too (tho i imagine you'd have to be virally famous for it to work or some niche streamer with supportive fans willing to help, i wonder if it's told whether someone is bought tho bc it would be bad if like 3 ppl bought like one thing unless it's something that would need to replenish a supply like some drink pack or so lol)

yeah you're right, that's why i had to phrase it "In Japanese society", not "exclusive to Japanese society".

I'm not very aware of how that kinda trend happens in other cultures apart from just the west alone, as I've only witnessed it in Japan atm lol
