Probably better to keep her in custody since she is relevant to foreign policy options. The new government could use negotiating for her treatment as a front to justify any unpopular concessions and Japan keeping her hostage should make government-in-exile hijinks less likely.

Coup d'Etat, JoJo style! I liked the Jojo horseback archers too.

I don't think Calligo will have a romantic interest in Remille. He's gotta be twice her age. He might have a "I must protect her like she's my daughter" arc. But my money is on him finding out she's the reason his friend got dragged into a hopeless war and died, then get his revenge on her. Even if he turns her over to the Japanese.

It would have been more quirky if the maid was a disguised Remille... .. ...nah, she doesn't have the brains or skills for it.
Wouldn't work, they would recognize her by the massive tits :pepela:

Remille being so dumb makes perfect sense if you think about it, all the nutrients go straight to her tits, as she got older the bigger her tits got the smaller her brain got due to lack of nutrients

So the emperor will still be around as a figure head. He should also be punished as he was also the one who incited Remmile to do whatever she pleases anyway.

This is the author's retelling of WW2 Japan's surrender to the U.S., including how the Emperor negotiated immunity from punishment for the Imperial family. This included his relative Prince Yasuhiko who was responsible for the Nanjing Massacre (Rape of Nanking) and ordered all captives be killed, just like Remmile did to the Japanese tourists.

Remmile is going to get off scot-free, but be forced to live in a convent as a nun or something for the rest of her life.

I think Remille won't be executed, but given her pride and how spoiled she is, she may prefer that to whatever sort of life sentence she gets.

I bet the other kingdom who's assisting in the rebellion of the colonies is going to take more land until there's nothing left for the coup team to negotiate with. So basically they are on the clock before the rebels reach the capital.

I agree that the best solution would be to jail the entire royal family, or at the very least Remmile and the Emperor, but if the group does that, the public would probably revolt. There are in fact some parallels with Japan's own last Emperor after WWII, Hirohito was also kept as a figure head IIRC. Heck, the whole thing parallels the conflict between Japan and America, it started with an unexpected attack to a port, where civilians where harmed. The wounded nation retaliated, and then the ones who attacked first ended up defeated. There are of course several differences, but I wonder if the author did that deliveredly.

It would have been better if they also forced him to step down as well but I don't ever remember if it was implied that he has children that can become the future figure head of the country. Well, for the manga at least. I don't know for the LN thou.
