Japan on this story transferred before 2020; suicide drones or even UAV aren't really popular as now.
Also unfortunately, this also transferred before Japan get F-35.
UAV already around in the nineties, but they were the big, practically a full-sized plane, type of drones, long before the technology was so ubiquitous that random consumers can do a terrorism at the airport with something bought at Walmart.

Okay i need to reread this from the start because for sure i dont remember they're mentioning theres another transferred civilization
Just the last chapter showed their big flagship, that looks like the Yamato, decimating some small country, even though their navy admiral tried a low blow of blasting them at pointblank after raising the white flag.

That Cielia Oudwin such diva appearance.... 90% manga budget goes to her eyes...
Hmm, they have nuclear tech?...

In Novel, they have long range bomber called Guti Maun, I believe it's nuclear bomb if the GVE do really have nuclear weapon

Just my theory, but I think Japan would also talk more and communicate on conference compared to the novel...
The manga version of that bomber MIGHT have if they already developed an atom bomb.
I see something will happen like this: in the manga version of the Great Naval Invasion, there are 200 Guti Maun launched by GVE, 199 of which reached Riem. 1 had a malfunctioning engine and forced to return to Leifor but got shot down by Mu's X Shinden Kai. The 199 Guti Maun were all shot down by F-15Js and F-2s. Japan and Mu found later those bombers are: either loaded with least 1 atom bomb per plane or GVE doesn't have atom bombs at all since Parguerre and Dallas are clueless to the word 'nuke' during their meeting with Asada. As for what Japan saw in Ch. 53? It's either it's really a nuclear facility or a new conventional weapons factory that just looks like a nuclear facility

Mentioning Gra Valkas and nukes (or Gra Valkas having nukes in the manga version) in this stage of this arc would change the dynamics of the story...
In this WN chapter, the Gra Valkans are clueless about the word 'nukes'

https://hanabarahana.wordpress.com/2021/06/11/japan-summons-a-tremor-strikes-the-empire-2/
I can see why they change this

I mean if Japan made nukes before gra valkans made nukes then there would be criticism just like with the WN with this there is an actual cause for Japan to build nukes and not them making it to threaten the gra valkans

Japan building nukes has been justified already with the knowledge of the Ravernal Empire using Core Magic indiscriminately

Something interesting I noticed, is that modern military technology has already surpassed the Japan in the story. They're still using Aircraft carriers and Jet fighters, but they're not using drones. We've seen IRL examples between Russia/Ukraine and Iran/USIsrael, where drones have outperformed older tech like Surface-to-Air missiles and manned airplanes. Drones were enough to keep the US Navy a thousand miles away from the straight of Hormuz.

Which makes me wonder- Yeah, Modern Japan could easily beat a Napoleonic army, and would beat a WWII era Japan. But they're not invincible to innovation. The author is a military geek so I half expect the Ravernal to have something drone-like. Perhaps the magical UFO equivalent. Depends on whether the intent is to glaze the Japanese Military as it is, or to show a progression of Military tech beyond.

Well, the novels did start a decade ago, when drones were just starting to be actually viable for camera things, if you spent like twenty grand.

At that time most advance drone was like predator drone

Looking
Movie like transformer 2007
War of the world 2005
World invasion :Batlle LA 2011
Battleship 2012

And you have tech more or less similar for japan

So yes actually we have surpass japan tech of the manga and even Gate Japan

This is like 2010~ marine with HK416 Holo and laser , looking at black hawk dawn 1992~ with CAR15 and M16A2 iron sight

That’s not really going to hold with the public in mind.

Nobody besides the higher up know about the ravernal and their capabilities.

It’s easier to justify building nukes cause another country has nukes like right now and not some myth that may or may not happen you are the reader so you know it will happen but people in the story themselves with no knowledge unlike us see it as why would Japan build nukes cause of a fantasy myth this world has ?

do you really need to justify building nukes to the public? without IAEA, they could just keep it a secret from the public.

It's more of being economical I think. US can't easily send their carriers without an escort and those require a lot of logistics to keep them up and running.

Thou, Japanese military doctrine is more for defense so they have no reason to swing around their warships and threaten other countries with it.
Talking About US Aircraft Carrier

US 7th Fleet also got isekai with japan and currently chilling unless japan got directly attack

Is she Sanae Takaichi? :meguupog: and I'm curious, will the next arc end up using nuclear weapons as the final move to destroy the kingdom?

aumhl5.jpg

thank you for translation & update again after 2 months
You can call me slur, but I felt like if Japan actually sent to otherworld, Sanae wouldn't win the election and becoming Prime Minister, unless the setting of the world already had her been in the seat all this time, but IIRC the prime minister on the early chapter wasn't her?
