Because I perceive the Big Bads as the Brits, to me their flagship in this chapter looked like something from the King George V-class series with different secondaries.

It’s going to be fun to see these schmucks get knocked off their high horse when their WW2 era tech gets curb stomped by modern day tech. It’s just too bad that it’s going to take a year or so before we get to see it.

Right. I think it was this conference where Japan makes contact with Annonrial's delegation, and Japan tries to rattle Annonrial's cage by implying they know the Empire's disinformation campaign and the Empire's real capabilities.
Kinda disappointed tbh. Takano didn't included the first encounter between Japan and Annonrial Empire

Yamato: Isekaied to a New world to be a coral reef again.
Sure, Grade Atlastar got wrecked by 6 Type-12 SSMs during the Great Naval Invasion of Japan and lost its command structure, but it managed to stay afloat. The remaining crew abandoned ship and got captured by the JMSDF as POWs, then the JMSDF towed its burning husk to Kure, Hiroshima, studying it and planned on being renovated into an AEGIS railgun battleship

So... Are the newcomers pseudo-germans or should we count them as just a pseudo-europe bloc.
If memory serves, they had shown a small snippet of Gra Valkas one or two chapters ago, and it turns out it's weeb-inspired English. Still WWII Yamato flagship, but (again, if my memory serves) they had Big Ben in the background of where their flagship was stationed.

thanks for the chapter
Milishials shops also look rather modern, i am curious how it will turn out.
but i guess in the end Japan has to show them big shops are just bigger targets for Planes

That was a massive disappointment, it's like World of Warships match where some guy bought space ship Des Moines camo/skin and still get instagibbed by base Yamato
WOWS mentioned in big 2026!!
So you are telling me that after they got teleported into unknown world their best course of action was to just go to the biggest international conference of said world and declare that they are better than anyone and all must bow to them or be trashed hard...
Are we sure Gra Valkas is not USA under Trump? :dogkek:

Jokes aside, their pride sure let them to have massive ba**s to make everyone their enemy in a world where magic/divinity is a thing and they just outright ignore it. Gonna end well for them in the end, I am sure...

From what I understood so far and looking at images they are WW2 nation which is mix of Imperial Japan and British Empire.

To be fair, Japanese do not need to do that at all. Remember how Yamato was sunk? Yanks send hundreds of planes and that did the job perfectly. What do you think dozen of modern fighter jets with ship-killing missiles can do to their fleet?

And even beside the fleet, their tech is early to late WW2 era. Against even Cold War tech it stands no chance, let alone early 21'st century stuff that they have.
Agreed, sending those F-2s with their AShM could be more deal than enough...

So basically they modernized that ship into JS Yamato AEGIS from Modern Warship but using rail gun as main turret instead of usual Type 94...

Just something that I think Japan is going to try to do, with what has been indicated by future developments from the web and light novels:

Japan is starting to understand that there are basically two types of nations in this world, regardless of if they’re local or isekai’ed:
1. Those that understand the cumulative effect of and force multipliers of advanced science, and what that science will look like. These are the “smart nations”, as we readers would call them, because they don’t judge a ship’s firepower and effectiveness on size alone, and when they see (and detect) phased array radar, all steel construction with no smokestacks indicating either an advanced diesel or gas turbine engine, and their civilians are able to afford calculating machines that are light, handheld, and able to do advanced trigonometry in seconds, they shut up and pointedly take a non-confrontational stance.
2. Those that think “size is firepower”, and therefore dont take the time or resources to figure out the real capabilities of their opponents.

Japan needs to be wary of Type 1 civilizations (Mirishial and Annonrial Empires), but they need something big and over-exaggerated to shut up the Type 2 civilizations from the get-go.
A big battleship to impress slack-jawed primitives so that Japan doesn’t have to keep wasting ammo shooting down or sinking what are essentially target practice dummies.
A carrier with destroyer escorts that occasionally tap you with radar locks from beyond the horizon, and sonar pings from submarines you didn’t even know were there, just to show you they can, to let nations that might be a problem know their place.
Nations that are actual threats would look up, see Japan’s satellite network looking down at them, and then respond with opening up the silo doors of their ICBMs as a “I know you can see this, come at me”.

Gra Valkas SHOULD have been a Type 1 civilization, but they let their ego cloud their judgement. They’re going to learn a painful lesson, a long and painful one.

The same technically can be said of Mirishial; they were just lucky enough to have a National Intelligence Director who was smart enough to listen to his subordinates’ reports that Mu, the superpower recognized by Mirishial as second only to themselves, had met Japan and not only become absolute fanboys of Japan, but they readily admitted that Japan was technologically and industrially superior by orders of magnitude.
And the Emperor listened to his National Intelligence Director, who had actual reports, over the protests of other ministers who hadn’t collected any real data and his own prejudices.

Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age... holy hell they sure went all out on that trailer/preview, cause it looks cool AF. Anyways, if memories serves me right the AU fanfic "summon america" played the Gra Valkas far more sane and less cartoonish; but the end result was never in doubt. So, with this being the OG; a question arises, will they take MU ? Or attempt to use nukes ? Cause both didn't play out in the AU fanfic... hmm.
