Yeah I also think that was the intention here. BBC aka Big Beko Consumer failed to kill Haruhiko and he escaped to the past, and that is how his head got in the shed all those years ago. In other words, since time goes in reverse for the Beko, does it imply that the Kudan was actually a less monstrous evolution of the Beko who over time became less alien and dangerous as they simply die on their own after 3 days, so the BBC eventually stops chasing them?
Apparent;y if they find out their true nature, they revert back I guess with what happened to Haruhiko

This combination of Lovecraftian horror with classic Japanese legends really hits; I'm surprised it's so rare
that’s a big premise in Bloodborne, which is also a Japanese game.

Best thing Lovecraft ever did was open his mythos to any and all storytellers.
